(WARNING: @thetrue1, you have seriously confused Goldergon and Malcolm. Malcolm is the human! Goldergon is the Vanisher)

Goldergon glanced around, sensing a presence in his head. He immediately shut off all the intruding thoughts and whirled around to face Shadow, an evil grin on his face. He projected his thoughts into Shadow’s mind, sending forth an immensely powerful and mind-numbing blast of pure concentration and energy in retribution for Shadow’s attempt to attack him.

“Fool move, Shadow. I have no soul to take!”

He then turned at Tsuki’s question. He glanced around at the bubbles around him with a thoughtful grin.

“Quite a pleasant game. I cannot see what the illusions are, but I see their presence well enough. It’s so fascinating!”he commented, tapping a bubble and watching the ripples in fascination.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(And, since I haven’t done Malcolm in a while, why not?)

Malcolm stepped out onto the porch as dusk fell, watching with a maniacal grin as his minions did their work. It had only been a day or two, but now the town was surrounded by robots, cowed into submission by the constant threat of a bullet or blade. Also, the few houses next to Malcolm’s had been converted from wood to nanobots.

“Good evening, my little reborn spider,”Malcolm called as the small machine approached.

It flashed its blue light twice in greeting, settling next to him on the porch, its several blades were coated in fresh blood. Malcolm chuckled.

“Busy day? Well, let’s see what happens for the next few days. If nothing special happens, kill everyone.”

The spider robot, which was now mostly one solid piece of metal, flashed its blue light twice.

Shadow just shrugs off Goldergon's attack with a shark-like grin.

"Okay. Two can play at this game, Goldergon. If you want to mess with mind stuff, make sure you can actually do something to the thing you attack."

And Shadow proceeds to slash a psioninc blade across Goldergon, strong enough to mentally stagger most, not strong enough to actually deal any permanent damage, just to see how Goldergon reacts.

Suddenly, they say "You… you aren't human at all, are you, Goldergon? You smelled just like one… but now that I can see you, you just have that… that otherness about you. You're like me. A freak." Because if Goldergon can shrug off Shadow's spells, then Goldergon has to be something other than human.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Lol, there is no way Goldergon is human. And that’s just from his looks. Just saying)
(His character template is on page one, under Malcolm on the same post, just in case/for reference. I did update them slightly, to make them less confusing. I think that was my bad for the confusion, just because of how I organized or said some details)

Goldergon whirled back to face Shadow and hisses at the attack, baring his dull red fangs, his golden eyes flashing with anger. A visible shiver passes down his spine, then his fingernails become claws.

“You dare! Even my own race fears me, and yet you… the fascinating aberration that you are… attack me,”Goldergon snarled, his voice quieting down to a sweet little coo at the end.

A demented grin curled his lips and he vanished without a trace, abruptly appearing next to Shadow. He tapped his chin in thought, amazed that someone could possibly be taller than his eight foot tall form.

“What… are you? Does such a defining question even fit one such as you? ‘What’, such a difficult word to describe,”Goldergon rambled, vanishing again.

He reappeared a few moments later, now standing a few feet in front of Shadow. He seemed bewildered.

“How are you taller than me? And, most importantly, why did you try to take what I do not possess? We, Vanishers, are above souls. We exist in harmony, having no need for such a split in existence as a ‘soul’. Beyond all that, it’s much more fun to harvest from a corpse than a soul.”

He rhythmically tapped his claws together, still grinning.

(How would Shadow know? He's never seen a human before, and besides, all the bipedal beings like Goldergon and Tsuki smell like corruption, which is enough for Shadow to mark them all as the same. I know Shadow is similar, but they don't have "morals" like any other being does. I'm not sure Shadow even knows what morals are.)

"I am what I am. However, for your purposes, you may think of me as… a "Mutable Shadow." Shadow says with a smile, unperturbed by Goldergon's sudden closeness.

They continue: "I do not exist in the way this world thinks I do. And why should I be afraid of you? It seems to me like you have enough things to fear you already. And I am taller than you because that is the way I am. Do you ask the grass why it grows so small, or the trees so big? No, you don't, because the answer is that is just how they were made. And I tried to take your soul because everything has one. I know that my race has no soul. Otherwise, how could we exist outside time? But this world, the beings in it, I can sense something filling in the gaps of this world, keeping it together and making it whole. My world is so empty and boring, really. It is really amazing the ammount of light there is to extinguish."

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Ah I see now)

Goldergon huffed.

“Yet, why are you the way you are? And, I do question why the grass is small! Why must it be so? Why did its creation make it so? And no, not everything has a soul. I am a fine example of that, for I have no soul, and never had one. My existence is that of another reality and duality. Mortals require such a nuisance called a soul, and yet are always so small.”

He then glances around at the trees around them.

“You say your world is boring. I have traveled across the multiverse for eons, and have found little that I did not already know from my creation. And, ‘light to extinguish’? What light? The sun of this world has already extinguished itself. The light of creation has nothing to do with it.”

(I'ma throw in another character: Wren Essix. They're like Shadow, except Wren is actually a decent being.)

"You misunderstand," Shadow says. "I was not saying you in particular had a soul. All I said was that everything in this world has a soul. And when I say world, I mean universe. Another reality, if you will. My reality contains everything and nothing; that is to say, it's literally infinite. Infinite space, matter, time… but the only thing my universe does not have, in any form, is a soul. And what I mean when I say "light" is life. This universe has so much of it that it makes me dizzy with hunger. And if you question why the grass grows so small, maybe you should ponder bigger problems: whether or not Tsuki is planning to do anything at this particular point in time."

As Shadow says that last bit, they notice something else: a light, silvery glow. They know immediately who it is, and prepare themselves for a fight.

The figure in question is a 6 foot tall humanoid, literally glowing with light and energy, all the way from the tips of their hair down to their toes. They are dressed in a white, short sleeved, form fitting shirt that accentuates their chest and shoulders, with a pair of black leggings and a pair of sandals, like the ones ancient soldiers used.

"Long time, no see, Wren Essix. I've been looking for you." Shadow releases a bolt of psionic darkness at Wren before they've even finished speaking.

"Well, if you keep that up, I'll have to think that your not happy to see me." Wren replies, throwing up a powerful mental shield to deflect the attack. "Goldergon and Tsuki: Stay out of our way. This will get very violent soon, and I'd hate for either of you to get killed."

Deleted user

They both turn to look at Tsuki, looking offended.

"Of course there's more uf us. Why wouldn't there be?" Shadow replied.

Wren nods. "For once, I'm in agreement with Shadow. Of course Shadow isn't the only one of their kind."

They both turn to Goldergon next, and Shadow says, "Did you think I was the only one?"

Deleted user

"Normally, when someone sees a new creature, they don't immediately assume that it's the only one. So why would you?" Shadow asks, not really expecting a good answer from this creature that appears to become dumber the longer Shadow talks to it.

"Shadow. We have bigger problems right now. I forgot to mention this earlier, but someones ransacking the village nearby. I hope you'll want to help defend the village, but knowing you, you'd probably just help kill everyone and raze the village." Wren says.

"Oooh… how far along are they? In destroying the village?" Shadow asks eagerly.

"I'm not telling you. Either stay here and argue with… Tsuki? Goldergon? Or go and find out." Wren snarls, because their annoyed that once again, they're getting brushed off by Shadow.

Deleted user

(Btw, Wren and Shadow have a… history, if that wasn't obvious.)

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Goldergon sighed in boredom as he watched everything happen. It seemed that Shadow and this ‘Wren’ were dumber than he thought. There were so many things about the multiverse around them that were blatantly obvious, and yet they missed every one. Why were beings from another multiverse always so dumb? And he hoped they heard his thoughts.

Goldergon perked up at the mention of the village and vanished without a word. He reappeared in front of Malcolm. Several robots immediately went on the defensive, until Malcolm waved them off.

“I’d guess the kid you had with you is dead?”Malcolm asked.

“I could care. However, you have trouble coming your way. Telepathic beings from another reality. I would shield that mind of yours,”Goldergon mentioned, glancing around at the activity in the village.

“You can do that better than I.”

“I have no patience for protecting others.”

“So, what are you doing here then?”

“Assisting you, not protecting you,”Goldergon hissed.

As he said that, several of the houses in the village abruptly burst into flames. Screams erupted from them, and burning bodies rushed out of those buildings.

“Damn it! They have supplies! Unlike you, I actually need resources to survive!”Malcolm snapped.

“You have chosen the wrong village then,”Goldergon replied.

He stepped down from the porch, walking down the street casually. People started to appear, panicking or trying to stop the spreading fires. Goldergon steadily hunted those people, viciously attacking and ripping them apart, soaking himself in their blood.

(Wren warped to their house after Shadow lost interest in them again.)

"I heard that, Goldergon. I'm much smarter than you give me credit for." Shadow sneers, amused and annoyed that anybody could even think of challenging their intelligence.

Meanwhile, Wren is seething in their house. "What is it about Shadow that I find so… so… irresistable?" they mutter.

At the same time, Shadow warps along the path Goldergon took. They pause, surveying the destruction before them, before turning and throwing up a shield just in case…

(I added some twists to Shadow; they aren't actually horrible, they just pretend to be so that nobody wants to be near them because they have a… condition: their skin, when touched by a living being, turns corrosive/"infectious" and causes the victims skin to start going white, then grey, then black, then it completely comes off. The process happens slowly, but signs that the victim was affected are immediate. I need to know whether or not Tsuki, Jax, Axel, Malcom or Goldergon can be affected by this type of stuff, and if so, wether or not Tsuki or Goldergon have touched Shadow. Yay for last minute adjustments…)

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Goldergon whirled around, sensing Shadow’s arrival, and huffed. He then turned away, a building next to him exploding from within, the shards and charred planks flying, as if guided, to impale villagers. Goldergon squealed in delight.

Malcolm sighed and went inside. As he shut the door, he noticed a strange dark spot on the floor where the nanobots seemed to be changing. Have they evolved again?

“Evolution?”he asked.

A few nanobots flashed blue at him, confirming his guess. The spot then spread, rapidly consuming and changing all of the nanobots. Within moments, all three houses and some nearby robots had changed.

“What can you do now?”

Every door and window sealed and the house shook a moment, as if rising. Then, two of the walls fell, revealing that the three houses were now one.

“Oh, this is interesting,”Malcolm commented.

Mechanical sounds started, and many of Malcolm’s robots appeared, having been retrieved from the ground. A rhythmic thumping began as well, the heartbeat of an engine.

A humanoid robot grew from the floor, watching Malcolm.

“Your orders, Creator? This construction, what you might call a ship, is at your command,”the humanoid robot stated.

“Why have I never discovered this before! This, all of it, is brilliant!”Malcolm burst, glancing around in amazement. He then cleared his throat, composing himself.

“Gather the rest of the machines. This village can go to hell for all I care.”

Interesting (and very typical of last minute adjustments. They always like to be the most interesting part). Malcolm is a human cyborg, so yes, this ability can affect him. Goldergon can be affected, but he heals rapidly, and it will only affect one form, not all of his forms. And Goldergon hasn’t touched Shadow.

And, since they’re relevant to Malcolm, his robots/nanobots cannot be affected.

(Are there any new safety features that I should know about? Also, that's interesting, but good/bad.)

Shadow notices the sudden changes in the houses and goes to investigate. They notice a "man" inside the house that seems to be the epicenter of the change. "This is interesting…" they murmur. They notice some people nearby, hiding. Quietly, so as to not be overheard by anyone else, they say "Run. Get away from here as fast as you can. Actually, no." After that last statement, they concentrate on moving the people away from the destruction and get them somewhere safe.

"There we go…" they say, as they start heading back towards the weird house. They knock, and say "I am here to ask you some questions, Malcom. Will you cooperate with me and let me in, or do I need to force my way in and break all of your bots?"

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(What do you mean by ‘new safety features’?)

Goldergon notices the people Shadow had helped and teleports over, immediately slaughtering several of the group. The remaining folk scatter, and he gleefully hunted them down.

Robots rushed for Malcolm’s strange house, the village clearing of their influence. When they had all vanished from the village, the house started to change shape.

Malcolm glanced at the wall, and tapped next to his mechanical eye. He linked with the nanobots and saw Shadow standing outside.

“What do you want? I’m done with this shithole,”Malcolm replied to Shadow.

The house construct became vaguely disc shaped, and whirring started, slowly getting louder.

(I have last-minute stuff that I just thought of too. It corresponds to this too, so don't worry. Tsuki isn't really there, they are a powerful illusion created by the moon in order to communicate with others. Problem is, they've gone awry and are their own being. This is why Tsuki immediately concludes that shadow is the only one of their kind, because the only sentient physical beings they are aware of are humans.)

(like, anything that could potentially be harmful, or anything that could be a minor annoyance.)

Shadow, noticing what Godergon did, gets very pissed off. They follow Goldergon, matching him exactly. Eventually, when Goldergon reaches the last few people, Shadow steps forward.

"ENOUGH. I am tired of this game. Leave them the hell alone, or I swear to any deities that exist, I will make the rest of your life absolute hell. Do. You. Understand. Me?"

They snarl all of this in a tone suffused venom and barely suppresed rage. And as they talk, they unknowingly start turning the surrounding threads of reality brittle and cold with the force of their anger. They start to change, too. Their skin goes from an absence of light to a blinding radiance, and they start growing feathered wings. They don't notice any of this, as intently focused on Goldergon as they are.

(weird plot twist there, but i just decided to go with the flow.)
(edit: i am also getting very into this and i love it. i also hope goldergon is terrified right now, because i'm pretty sure he should be, what with the glowing and literally reality breaking anger.)
