So, I have a character who is super durable and can heal really fast. The only thing that can kill him is brain damage. However, things like suffocation can limit oxygen to the brain, so that can also kill him.

Any advice on how to write a reckless character who knows they pretty much can't die so they do stupid things?

i'm not good at these things but i'll try my best to help you friend-

-maybe out of boredom he'll do r e a l l y stupid things. like, play the knife game until a finger comes off, or attempt to juggle knives bc he can without consequence
idk, just boredly maiming himself on accident could be interesting

-is it poisonous? taste it to find out! stuff like that, where he's like, 'yeah ok i'll test this' just bc, again, since he can't really die, it doesn't quite matter

sksksks that's all i got atm, if i got more i'll come back and try to help !!!!

I agree with what the others said. If he's had this power his whole life, he might be really casual about injuring himself–he might not even believe others when they say they're in pain. I heard a story once about a lady whose pain receptors didn't work very well, and she got minor injuries all the time but thought nothing of it. And when she had her first kid, everyone told her labor would be super painful but she said they had all exaggerated. She also was very forgetful, for what it's worth. I have a character with the same genetic mutation as that lady, (but she doesn't know it) and she gets mad at people when they show weakness because she thinks they're faking for attention. Hope that helps give you ideas! ^^
